Rachel Marie Anderson, 13, her brothers Cameron Jeffrey Anderson, 12, and Kyle Nicholas James Anderson, 9, and their mother, Lesley Allen, were last seen in Fulton, Mississippi, on April 11, 2000. All four remain missing.
The last school days
Rachel's last day at school was April 5. Kyle's was April 7. Cameron's was April 10. Their father, Jeff Anderson, lived in Indiana and was supposed to receive regular calls from the children under the parents' divorce agreement, but the calls had become less frequent.
The car came back. The family did not.
A roommate said Lesley left during the night with a truck driver and took Rachel, Cameron and Kyle with her in a brown 1981 Chevrolet Caprice station wagon. Months later, the station wagon was found abandoned on the family's own property.
No school has requested the children's records since their disappearance. No doctor or hospital has requested their medical records. The Charley Project reports no activity on Lesley's credit record and no evidence that she held a job anywhere in the country in 2000.
Case status
The case was initially treated as a possible family abduction. After more than two decades without contact or evidence of the family's whereabouts, authorities remain concerned for their safety. The children's cases are classified as endangered missing.
Status: open and unsolved. Rachel, Cameron, Kyle and Lesley remain missing.
